Echo Waves is an independent alternative rock band driven by atmosphere, emotion, and thoughtful songwriting. Their music blends layered guitars, dynamic arrangements, and subtle textures to create songs that feel both intimate and expansive.

Rather than chasing trends, Echo Waves focuses on mood and movement, allowing songs to build naturally, shift in intensity, and leave space for interpretation. The result is a sound rooted in modern alternative rock with touches of post-rock influence and cinematic sensibility.

Each release reflects a hands-on creative process, from writing and production to visual presentation. Echo Waves approaches music as a complete experience, where sound, tone, and feeling work together to connect with listeners on a deeper level.

Alex “Delay” Mercer

Lead Guitarist

Alex is known for building layered guitar parts that lean heavily on texture and space. With a pedalboard that raises questions and riffs that arrive right on time, Alex focuses on creating atmosphere rather than flash, though the occasional solo does escape when least expected!

Chris “Click Track” Nolan

Bass Guitar

Chris locks in the low end with precision and patience, favoring groove over complexity. Often accused of secretly running the rehearsal schedule, Chris keeps everything grounded, musically and otherwise, and insists the bass should be felt before it’s noticed.

Jamie Cross

Vocals / Rhythm Guitar

Jamie handles lead vocals and rhythm guitar, anchoring songs with steady progressions and restrained melodies. Known for obsessing over phrasing and lyrical tone, Jamie prefers clarity over excess and believes the best songs say more by saying less.

Sam Reed

Drums

Sam drives the band’s dynamics, shifting effortlessly between restraint and intensity. With a focus on feel and timing, Sam treats the drums as a supporting voice rather than a spotlight until the moment calls for something louder.
